How to pack your espresso machine for reverse pickup

Send the machine only — nothing else.

When our courier picks up your machine for repair, please send only the machine itself. Keep everything else at home — your water tank, drip tray, portafilter, baskets, tampers, milk jug, manuals, and any other accessories. Permanently attached parts (for example, a fixed power cord) stay with the machine.

We do this because accessories and water tanks can be damaged or lost in transit, and a missing portafilter can hold up a repair we could otherwise close in days. When your machine is repaired, we ship it back the same way — bare unit only — and you reattach your accessories at home.

Quick checklist before pickup

  1. Empty the machine fully — water tank out, boiler drained where possible, drip tray emptied, group head wiped down. Any residual water can damage the boiler or electronics in transit.
  2. Remove every accessory — water tank, drip tray, portafilter, baskets, tampers, milk jug, knock box, drainage hose, manuals. Set them aside; you'll need them when the repaired unit returns.
  3. Repack in the original carton with the original foam inserts. Original packaging is purpose-built for the unit's weight and dimensions — please don't substitute newspaper, clothes, towels, or bubble wrap alone.
  4. Tape the carton on the top, bottom, and all four side seams.
  5. Stick the RMA label we email you on the outside of the carton.
  6. Photograph the packed carton and the courier's AWB sticker at handover, and send the photos to your support ticket. This is your proof of condition.

Don't have the original carton?

Tell us before pickup (reply to your RMA email). We'll ship you a fresh carton or arrange a packed-pickup where the courier brings packaging. Losing your original packaging does not affect your warranty eligibility — it only changes how we arrange the pickup.

About keeping your original packaging

If you can, keep your original carton and foam inserts for the warranty period applicable to your purchase. It's the smoothest way for us to bring a unit in for repair. If you can't, the fallback above applies — your cover is unaffected.

If a repair needs more than one round trip

On any return leg, we'll arrange packaging at our cost — you don't need to source new cartons. We also ship the repaired unit back as a bare machine in a Fix Coffee carton; reattach the water tank, drip tray, and portafilter at home and you're back up.
