The Fix Coffee Impact Tamper 4.0 uses a 4-spring impact mechanism to deliver consistent, repeatable tamping force with audible click feedback the moment you reach target pressure. No over-tamping. No channeling. No guessing.

The internal spring alignment keeps the tamper vertical during compression, so you get a perfectly level puck without conscious effort. At Rs 3,999, it's the sweet spot between our entry-level Spring Tamper and the premium Force Impact 2.0.

The Fix Coffee Impact Tamper 4.0 is 58mm — the standard size for home espresso machines including the HiBREW H10A and H10 Plus. If your portafilter basket is 58mm, this fits. For 51mm machines, the Fix Coffee Spring Tamper is available in 51mm.

How does the 4-spring impact mechanism work?

Four springs arranged in the tamper deliver force through a precise, repeatable impact at a calibrated pressure point (~30lbs). When you reach that point, you hear and feel a distinct click — confirming correct tamping without any guesswork. The mechanism ensures the same force every single time regardless of how hard you push past the click point.

What does the audible click confirm?

The click means you've hit ~30lbs of tamping force — the calibrated target. Once you hear it, release. You don't need to push harder. Consistent click, consistent tamp. Over-pressing past the click doesn't add useful pressure and can create an uneven puck surface.

How do I clean the Impact Tamper 4.0?

Wipe the stainless steel base after each use. For deeper cleaning, remove the base and wash with warm soapy water, dry immediately. Don't submerge the spring mechanism. The click mechanism is sealed and requires no maintenance under normal use.
