The HiBREW G5 performs very well for espresso, moka pot, and AeroPress. Grind consistency at fine to medium-fine settings is solid, and the build quality feels sturdy with smooth adjustments.
Where it falls short is at coarser settings. For V60 or French Press, the grind is less uniform, with too many fines that reduce clarity in the cup. It’s usable, but not ideal if pour-overs or immersion brews are your main method.
Overall, this grinder is a great choice if you mostly brew espresso or moka pot, but less suitable if your focus is V60 or French Press.
I've always wanted to build a home espresso setup. Having used aeropress for over 2 years, and doing months of research, I came across a very well rounded machine - the Hibrew H10 Plus. It has all the bells and whistles to dial in coffee and ultimately gives me coffee that tastes better than any mainstream cafe.
Fix coffee is the only store in India that has it available.
I've had this machine for almost a year now and it's nothing short of amazing!
It's compact and looks great on the counter.
It's super consistent and I get a great tasting shot every time.
With the temperature control, you can play around with extraction and settle with what tastes good to you.
The pressure monitoring system helps in dialing in just the right amount of coffee.
It comes with a pressurized portafilter with 2 sized baskets. I also bought a bottomless portafilter from them which I like more.
At this price, it's worth every penny!
The Fixcoffee team are awesome too! They are really quick in responding to all my queries and services I need.
1. I tried different grinds of coffee. No crema.
2. I normally drink about 170 ml of coffee. Had to do Double Espresso with 80 ml setting, twice. The black coffee with 70 ml espresso and 100 ml hot water was light.
The wait for a perfect cuppa at home is finally over. This sleek, stylish grinder is just right for home use—compact enough to fit seamlessly into my Mumbai apartment without hogging space, and pleasantly quiet too. Cleaning has been pretty easy so far, and I’m hoping it stays that way for the long run.
